This week we'll be focusing on our business administrator, Gemma Yeats, and providing a little insight into their everyday at Here's The Plan.

What is an average day in your role?

I provide help to our Account Managers with the administration of client’s accounts and liaise with suppliers. This includes ensuring that contract terminations are sent to the suppliers within the termination window and the suppliers have up-to-date letters of authority for all our clients. This role also includes using our systems to gather and record meter details, consumption data, meter readings, and invoices.

I help ensure our system is running up to date and that the Account Managers have the data they need to provide our customers with the best possible outcomes.

I love being part of a lively engaged team who are focused on providing great customer service and helping provide our clients with energy efficiency solutions to aid them with Achieving Net Zero.

Everyone in the Team here is so friendly and supportive of each other as it was quite daunting for me to move into a new role in a new sector after spending over 30 years in the world of Private Client tax.

What is the best advice you've ever received?

I think the best advice I have received is to develop positive habits, to learn from your mistakes and to keep going no matter what. Failure is not the opposite of success: it’s part of success . Do the best you can in every task, no matter how unimportant it may seem at the time.
