Here’s The Plan work with different licensed providers to provide a water contract management service to many of our clients; your default water charge is made up of two components – a wholesale charge, and a retail charge. While we can negotiate a discount for the retail charge for your water contract with our suppliers, the wholesale cost is reviewed annually and set by Scottish Water.

Scottish Water have recently announced that the wholesale water and sewerage services charge will increase by 8.8% from April 1st 2024. This increase will be applied across the board, regardless of your supplier and is to support investment in replacing infrastructure and managing the impacts of climate change.

If you are currently in a contract then your discount rate will remain unaffected by the increase in wholesale costs and will be applied to the new rates from April 1st, however if you have any queries then please do get in touch with your Account Manager at Here’s The Plan.
